The 1998 France away shirt, made by Adidas, flipped the look of the home jersey. Instead of blue, the base was a clean white, with the same bold chest stripe pattern: a thick red horizontal stripe bordered by two thinner blue stripes across the front. The FFF crest with the golden cockerel sat on the left chest, while the Adidas logo appeared centrally above it, just like on the home shirt.
