1996 France home
The France Euro 1996 home shirt, made by Adidas, is one of their most memorable pre-World Cup designs. It featured a royal blue base with bold red and white horizontal stripes across the chest, inspired by the French tricolor flag. The standout detail was the thick red central stripe bordered by thinner white stripes, giving the shirt a striking, athletic look. The FFF crest, with the golden cockerel, sat proudly on the left chest, while the Adidas logo was placed centrally above it — a typical Adidas style of the mid-1990s.
This kit was worn at Euro 1996 in England, where France reached the semi-finals, eventually losing to the Czech Republic on penalties. It’s closely associated with players like Zinedine Zidane (early in his France career), Laurent Blanc, Didier Deschamps, and Youri Djorkaeff.
